On Monday, October 22, Bedford residents learned how to eliminate drafts and enjoy the cozy comfort of their home with Energize Bedford! Energize Bedford is a local program that can help you reduce your heating and cooling costs by connecting you with state incentives to save energy and money
Incentives are available for households of all sizes. For example, if you are a family of two with an income below $61,050, the Assisted Home Performance with Energy Star program provides grants of up to $4,000 to complete energy upgrades such as new insulation, air sealing and high efficiency heating systems. For families of two with an income below $36,372, there are even more incentives through New York State including up to $10,000 of approved energy upgrades. To find out how much money you can save on your energy bills, call Energize Bedford (914) 302-7300 press 1, or visit www.Bedford.EnergizeNY.org. Energize Bedford staff will be happy to help you.
