The 54th annual Lewisboro Library Fair will be held rain or shine on Saturday, September 20 from 10 am to 4 pm at Onatru Farm (99 Elmwood Road in South Salem). The Fair’s car show, or Concours d’Elegance, will showcase a wide range of vehicles from show cars to backyard classics, and a special section for green technology vehicles. Sponsored by Lexus of Mount Kisco, the show is open to all who want to participate. Awards are given in each of eight categories. All attendees receive dash plates. To pre-register or for any questions, contact Maureen Koehl at 763-3326 or firstname.lastname@example.org. All entries will be sold at the Bake Sale Tent after judging.
The Library Fair Raffle is one of the Fair’s biggest moneymakers, and a great way to show support for your Library, while taking a chance on some great prizes – a 55” flat panel LCD HDTV, an iPad Air, an iPad mini, or dinner for two at Le Chateau. Books of five tickets are available at the Library and on Fair day for $40 or single tickets for $10 each. Winning raffle tickets will be drawn at the Fair.
This year's Silent Auction will offer opportunities to bid on items including: gift certificates, a native plant garden installed by Copia Home and Garden, Giants vs Colts football tickets, gym membership, college interview services, tutoring services, antique Lionel trains, vacation get-a-ways and some exclusive items on loan from CharityGROW- including animation cels, autographed movie posters, Muhammad Ali boxing gloves and an Eric Clapton guitar! If you have an item or service you’d like to contribute to the Silent Auction, please contact email@example.com.
The Fair Pre-Sales, also held at Onatru Farm, are a great warm-up to Fair Day. OnThursday, Sept 18, 5pm - 9pm, stop by the Pre-Sale for Lewisboro residents only. Proof of residency will be required. We’ll have Books (adult, young adult and children’s), Formal Wear and Sporting Equipment. Whether you need books, ice skates or a suit jacket, be sure to check out the Pre-Sale offerings. On Friday, Sept 19, the Book Only Pre-Sale is on for everyone, from 9am - 4pm.
Volunteers -We depend on the help of many volunteers to run the Fair, and are seeking volunteers to help out before, after and during Fair Day. There are many opportunities to earn community service credit simply for volunteering. If books are your thing, we are looking for help at the Pre-Sale and Fair. If you love to bake, please consider making your favorite baked good to donate to our Bake Sale Table. Items can be dropped off at the Fair or arrange a pick-up by contacting Rita Schaffer at 763-8149 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Volunteers can sign up at the library or via this Volunteer Link.
